Dedicated to ensure children arrive safely and on time so they can make the most of their school day or activity
Calexico Unified School District offers school transportation to eligible students. Students must live within district boundaries to be eligible for transportation.
Elementary School students (grades Transitional Kinder through 6th), are eligible for transportation if they live 1 mile or more from their school of attendance.
Middle School students (grades 7th and 8th), are eligible for transportation if they live 2 miles or more from their school of attendance and/or the location has been identified as having unsafe access to school (in our district referring to crossing Imperial Avenue whether East or Westbound).
High School students (grades 9th through 12th), are eligible for transportation if they live 3 miles or more from their school of attendance.
We operate within a 60 square mile range. Working as a team, we provide service as needed. Calexico Unified School District owns and operates 17 school buses. 3 buses run on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), 10 on diesel, 3 on gasoline and 1 electric bus.
